Kondo Problem at Steady-State Nonequilibrium

Jongbae Hong (Postech & APCTP)

Nonequilibrium Kondo problem is one of long standing problems in condensed matter physics. For this reason, all of the experimental observations for the tunneling conductance of various Kondo-involved mesoscopic systems are not fully explained. In this seminar, I will introduce basic Kondo physics in equilibrium and nonequilibrium and reproduce the line shapes of tunneling conductance of various mesoscopic Kondo systems by new theoretical approach for this long standing problem. In addition, I will talk about quantum phase transition at steady-state nonequilibrium shown in quantum point contact if time is allowed.
